Pigment placed right between the lashes. It never reads as ‘liner’ — it simply makes your lash line look denser, so your eyes look brighter. Most people can’t tell you’ve had anything done. Best if you want genuinely undetectable definition.
A clean, defined line along the upper lash line — everyday and versatile. Designer adds a custom tail or wing shaped to your eye. Best if you wear liner most days and want to stop drawing it.
A diffused finish that fades softly upward, like a gently smudged smokey liner. More forgiving than a crisp line and especially flattering on hooded or mature eyes.
This is the part I want you to read properly. The skin around your eyes is the thinnest on your body, and it sits next to something irreplaceable. Permanent eyeliner is safe in trained, registered hands and a sterile environment — and genuinely risky in the wrong ones.
I’m a Registered Body Art Practitioner with the LA County Department of Public Health, certified in bloodborne pathogens in line with Cal/OSHA standards, working from a fully permitted body art facility. Every needle and tool is single-use. If pigment is placed too deep or too heavily here, it can migrate under the skin and leave a permanent shadow — which is exactly why technique and restraint matter more on eyeliner than anywhere else.
That’s also why I’d rather talk you out of a heavier line than give you one you’ll regret.
Most people find eyeliner far more comfortable than they expect. A topical numbing agent is applied before and during your appointment, and the sensation is usually described as light vibration or pressure rather than pain. Your eyes stay closed and relaxed throughout.
Afterwards, expect some mild swelling for a day or two — completely normal, and it settles quickly. The liner looks darker and thicker at first, then softens noticeably as it heals; light flaking over the first week is part of the process. The true, healed result shows at around four to six weeks. As with all my work, eyeliner is done in two visits: the initial session, then a perfecting session once you’ve healed.
The simplest way to think about it: lash enhancement is invisible definition, classic and designer give you a visible drawn line, and shaded gives you a soft smoky effect. If you’d never leave the house without liner, go bolder. If you just want to look less tired, start with lash enhancement — you can always add more later. We’ll talk it through at your consultation and I’ll tell you honestly what will suit your eye shape.
