Combo Brows

Combo Brows in Valencia, CA

Combo brows short for combination brows blend two techniques in one set: fine, hair-like strokes through the front of the brow where realism matters most, and soft powder shading through the body and tail for fullness and definition. You get the natural look of hairstrokes with the staying power of shading. Can’t decide between the hair-by-hair realism of nano and the soft, filled-in look of powder brows? Combo brows are the answer they do both.

I’m Jeanny Evans, and combo brows are a favourite for clients in Valencia and across the Santa Clarita Valley who want the best of both worlds in a single, balanced result.

What Are Combo Brows

What are combo brows?

Combo brows — short for combination brows — mix two techniques in one set. I place fine, hair-like strokes at the front of the brow, where realistic detail matters most, then blend into soft powder shading through the arch and tail for density and shape. The two techniques meet seamlessly, so you get the natural look of hairstrokes with the fullness and staying power of shading.

Who combo brows suit best

Combo brows are a great fit if you want a natural front but a defined, fuller body; if you have combination skin; or if you like the idea of hairstrokes but want them to last a little longer and read a little fuller. They’re also perfect for the very common situation of simply not being able to choose — because you genuinely don’t have to.

Still deciding? Compare nano and powder / ombré brows

  • Want the most natural, hair-by-hair look? See nano hairstroke brows.
  • Want a soft, filled-in, makeup-done finish (great for oily skin)? See powder / ombré brows.
  • Want both realistic front, defined body? Combo brows are for you.

What Are Combo Brows1

What are combo brows?

Combo brows are created over two appointments — the initial session and a perfecting session a few weeks later once healed. As with any brow work, the color looks bolder at first and softens as it heals, with the true result showing at about four to six weeks. Because combo brows include shading, they tend to hold up well over time, often landing between nano and powder for longevity.

Want the best of both? Let's design your combo brows.

Book a relaxed consultation and we’ll map a shape and balance of strokes and shading that suits your face perfectly.

What are combo brows?

Combo brows combine two permanent makeup techniques: fine hairstrokes at the front of the brow for a natural look, blended into soft powder shading through the body and tail for fullness and definition. You get the realism of hairstrokes with the staying power and polish of shading, in one set.

Not better different. Nano is the most natural hair-by-hair look, powder is the softest filled-in finish, and combo sits between them: realistic front, defined body. The right choice depends on your skin type and the look you want, which we map at your consultation.

Typically 1–3 years, and often toward the longer end — because combo brows include shading, they tend to hold up well over time, frequently landing between nano and powder for longevity.

Often, yes — the shaded portion holds up better on oily skin than fine hairstrokes alone. If your skin runs very oily, powder brows may last even longer, and we’ll talk it through honestly.
