When brows heal the wrong color, color theory can often neutralize and rebalance them into a natural tone. The most common fix, and one of the most satisfying.

Uneven or unflattering shape
If your brows are asymmetrical, too thick, or the wrong shape for your face, I can help reshape and rebalance them around your natural features.
Emergency Saline Removal
When pigment needs to come out
Sometimes the best first step is lightening or removing old pigment. I offer gentle saline removal to lift unwanted ink so we can start fresh — including newer work that needs to come out quickly.
Eyeliner Correction
Migrated, heavy, or uneven liner
Permanent eyeliner that has spread, smudged under the skin, or healed unevenly can often be softened, refined, or corrected.
Lip Color Neutralization
Dark, uneven, or discolored lips
Lip blush that healed too dark, ashy, or uneven can be neutralized and rebalanced for a healthier, more natural color.
Can It Be Corrected, or Does It Need to Be Removed First?
It depends on three things: how dark and saturated the existing pigment is, what color it has turned, and the condition of your skin. Lighter, faded work can often be corrected directly. Heavily saturated or very dark work usually needs to be lightened with saline removal first, so the corrected color can show true.

Can bad permanent makeup really be fixed?
In most cases, yes. Discolored, uneven, or migrated permanent makeup can often be corrected using color theory and careful technique — and when the existing pigment is too dark or saturated, gentle saline removal can lighten it first so the correction can show true. Whether yours is fixable depends on the color, saturation, and skin condition, so the first step is an honest photo assessment.
Is it better to correct permanent makeup or remove it completely?
It depends on how dark and saturated the existing work is. Lighter or faded permanent makeup can often be corrected directly, while heavily saturated or very dark work usually needs to be lightened with saline removal before new work begins. The goal is always a natural, true-to-tone result — sometimes that means correcting, and sometimes it means removing first, then rebuilding.
Why did my eyebrows heal gray, orange, or blue?
Color shifts happen when the original pigment, technique, or your skin chemistry weren’t matched correctly — over time, certain pigments break down into cool (gray/blue) or warm (orange/red) tones. The good news is that these shifts are usually correctable: a warm corrector can neutralize gray and blue, while a cool tone calms orange and red, rebalancing the brow to a natural color.
Does correction cost more than the original permanent makeup?
Correction can take more time and skill than starting fresh, since the artist is working over existing pigment — and it sometimes involves removal sessions first. How many sessions will my correction take?
Most corrections take more than one session. Color correction often needs two visits spaced several weeks apart so the color can heal and settle between sessions, and cases that require saline removal first will need additional time. You’ll get a realistic timeline upfront once your specific situation is assessed — no surprises.
Can you fix permanent makeup done at another studio?
Yes — correcting work done elsewhere is one of my specialties. Many clients come to JNX specifically because their original artist couldn’t fix the result, or they didn’t feel comfortable going back.
