How long does permanent makeup last?
Most permanent makeup lasts 1–3 years — lips often 2–3 — fading gradually. A refresh every 12–18 months keeps colour and shape looking fresh. Longevity varies with technique, skin type and sun exposure.
Does permanent makeup hurt?
Most clients describe mild discomfort, not pain. A numbing agent is used throughout; brows and eyeliner are usually very tolerable, and lips can feel a little more sensitive.
What's the difference between semi-permanent and permanent makeup?
They’re the same thing. All cosmetic tattooing is technically permanent — the pigment stays in the skin — but it fades over time, which is why it’s often called semi-permanent. None of it is truly temporary.
Is nano better than microblading?
For most people, yes — nano uses an ultra-fine machine needle instead of a hand blade, so it tends to last longer, heal with less trauma, and work on more skin types, including oily skin.
Can bad permanent makeup be corrected?
Often, yes. Discoloured, uneven or migrated work can frequently be corrected with colour theory and technique, or gently lightened first with saline removal. A photo assessment gives an honest answer.
